Do you want the opportunity to make a difference? To help inform policy makers at the heart of Defence? To help share your lived experience and in doing so help other Service families? If so, then completing this survey can help do just that.
The Armed Forces Families Safeguarding (AFFS) team plays a crucial role in shaping policies that bring the UK Armed Forces Families Strategy 2022-2032 to life. More importantly, our work aims to make a meaningful difference to the lives of Armed Forces families.
To ensure that our policies are informed by real experiences, we want to hear directly from Service families currently overseas. This survey provides an opportunity to share your views on what is working well and what additional support or guidance would be beneficial.
Designed for current Serving Personnel and their families assigned overseas, the survey focuses on key areas including communication, childcare, education, spousal/partner employment, and safeguarding. The survey will run for 10 weeks, closing on 30 August at 2359hrs and should take around twenty minutes to complete. Please take the time to share your insights—your feedback is essential to driving meaningful change.
The survey is anonymous, though you will have the option to leave contact details if you wish to participate in potential future focus groups on specific topics. All responses will be securely stored on MOD systems, accessible only to internal Defence groups. Once the analysis is complete, all data will be stored securely for two years afterwhich it will be deleted. The contact details of those who have opted into future focus group engagement may be deleted on request, 12 months after the survey closing date.
If you experience any issues completing this survey then please email: [email protected] with SURVEY as the title of your email.
