The RN Sexual Harassment Survey (SHS) 2021

Following on from the previous 2009 and 2015 Sexual Harassment Surveys, I have committed the Royal Navy to undertaking another Sexual Harassment Survey in 2021. Sexual harassment of any form is wholly unacceptable. To help create an inclusive and safe environment for all, I use these surveys to identify the nature and extent of sexual harassment within the Royal Navy. Your responses help us to understand how effective you feel we have been in dealing with sexual harassment and crucially, as a learning organisation, how you think we can improve.

This Sexual Harassment Survey is your chance to tell me whether you have witnessed or been subject to any form of sexual harassment at work. I want to ensure that your views are heard and you have the opportunity to “speak out”, so I strongly encourage you to take this opportunity to respond to the survey as open and honestly as you can. Your responses are vital to enable us to monitor the extent of sexual harassment within the Royal Navy and allow us to continue improving policy and processes in order to reduce the incidents of sexual harassment at work and improve the lived experience for all in the Royal Navy.

Director People and Training

This survey is anonymous.

The record of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you, unless a specific survey question explicitly asked for it.

If you used an identifying token to access this survey, please rest assured that this token will not be stored together with your responses. It is managed in a separate database and will only be updated to indicate whether you did (or did not) complete this survey. There is no way of matching identification tokens with survey responses.
