Inclusive leadership survey

Welcome

On behalf of the Conduct, Equity and Justice (CEJ) Directorate, assisted by the Defence Leadership Centres (DLC), welcome to our survey on inclusive leadership training and education. There are two short sections in this survey, please complete both sections:

  • About you. This includes basic questions that allow us to better understand your responses to the survey and inform analysis.
  • Leading inclusively. These questions will help us to understand what senior leaders in Defence need from training and education.

Please note this survey is for Defence leaders at ranks/grades: OF5 / B2 and above. Please complete this survey honestly and openly, you will be asked for some basic personal information including your Service and rank/grade, however the survey results are anonymous. Once you submit the survey, we will not be able to identify you from your responses and, therefore, you will not be able to withdraw your responses.

You are under no obligation to complete this survey; participation is completely voluntary.

Once completed, survey results will be classified as Official Sensitive-Personal. Responses will be reported at a group level and no individual responses will be cited. Quotes may be used to illustrate findings, but no personally identifiable information will be included.

The anonymised survey data will be stored on a secure MOD server, only accessible by MOD Occupational Psychologists, and managed in accordance with data protection and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) guidelines.

The findings will be used to help us better understand what aspects of inclusive leadership are most relevant to Defence senior leaders, and where we need to focus training and education. Survey responses will be considered alongside other sources of data including focus groups, and scientific and best practice research. Data analysis will be conducted by Defence Leadership Centre, overseen by Occupational Psychologists, and will be used to inform the design of inclusive leadership education and development for senior leaders at OF5/B2 and above. Collected data will only be used by Defence Leadership Centre for this specified purpose. A summary of reported findings may be shared with interested parties within Defence.
